To all the event Teddy’s, Teddy Owners, Parents, Guardians, Supporters and Organisers.

POSTPONEMENT OF THE READY TEDDY JUMP EVENT

Saturday 2^nd May 2015 11.00 am – 3.00pm

CATHEDRAL GREEN

EXETER

Due to the likelihood that the weather on Saturday 2^nd May 2015 during the course of this event will be heavy rain and very blustery conditions, reluctantly the www.READYTEDDYJUMP.COM event has been cancelled for this day.

 

The weather forecast has been monitored over the past few days and constant updates have been taken direct from The Met Office. They forecast rain throughout the event and winds of around 34 mph.

The Committee have therefore reluctantly taken the decision that it would not be safe for the brave Teddies to jump and for spectators

to watch even though the organising Committee have arranged for Teddy Medics to be on available and on standby.

The Committee and Honeylands Childrens Charity want this event to be a huge success so:

THIS EVENT WILL BE RE-ARRANGED ON A DATE WHICH HAS YET TO BE CONFIRMED

The new date will be announced via the above website, posters and social media so please keep looking.

All teddy owners should make sure their brave teddy’s remain fit, healthy and in training.

This was a very difficult decision for the committee to make but was done in the best interests of all concerned.

Exeter Academy of Music

A big thank you to Ella, the students and all the people who organised and made the gig so successful at the Mill on the Exe in January. The event raised £116.61p for the Music Therapy service provided by charity at the Honeylands Centre in Exeter.

Honeylands Xmas Raffle

Prior to Christmas the staff at Honeylands organised and held an Xmas raffle with prizes being donated by a variety of people including businesses in the local area, supporters, staff, trustees and families.

The raffle raised at fantastic £763.50 to go towards the aims and objectives of the charity and provide resources and equipment for the children who atend the Honeylands Centre.

Thank you to all who donated prizes and bought tickets. Congratulations if you were one of the lucky prize winners.

A fantastic total for a fantastic cause.

2014

We are approaching the end of 2014 - just a few hours left and it is appropriate to reflect and thank those that have supported us over the past 12 months.

Despite the difficulties with fundraising the charity has maintained its services for the children that attend Honeylands and we will continue to do so during 2015. There are various events planned by our supporters (new and old) over the coming months to bring in much needed funds and an ongoing event covering the whole year planned to raise substantial funds for specific specialist equipment.

There are too many people/organisations to thank here individually that have contributed during 2014 but you know who you are. A really big thank you to you all for your support (in whatever way you have) and donations. Your contributions really have made a difference to what we provide for the children and hopefully we can continue to do so and expand that provision in 2015.

Las Iguanas Exeter Donation Christmas 2014

Another £532.00 in addition to the £100.00 worth of toys has just been donated to the charity by Las Iguanas Exeter from money raised by the Las Iguanas Resturaunt Group in associated with The Entertainer Company. The total amount raised by staff and customers across the country for a number of deserving causes was £24000.00.
This is a fantastic gesture and the money we have received will go towards the purchase of special learning and development toys for the children who attend Honeylands.
