Lloyds Kitchen Exeter, Fundraising Event
FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC
Thank you for your support of Honeylands CC and Heart radio 'Make some Noise'
Independently owned Lloyd’s Kitchen joined forces with Heart to help raise money for Honeylands Children’s Charity. The Global ‘Make Some Noise’ campaign organised by Heart, attracted 50 diners and four competition winners to Lloyd’s Kitchen. Restaurateur Lloyd Gardner hosted the event donating a delicious three-course dinner, prepared by resident Chef Graeme Murfin, for each guest with all monies going to the charity.
Breakfast presenters Matt and Caroline were on hand to entertain the guests and help out in the kitchen. A charity raffle with great prizes raised additional funds and a total of £2132 will go towards the Honeylands Specialist Child Assessment Centre based in Exeter.

ASHILL BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Each year a dedicated team of 4 enthusiasts (Nick Morton, Nick Keen, John Parker & Gary Foster) from the village of Ashill, near Cullompton,in Devon set about organising a Beer and Music Festival to raise funds for their village hall, local events and in addition this year to make a donation to support the work of Honeylands Children's Charity in Exeter.
The event in June raised in excess of £4K and from the proceeds a donation of £1000 was made to the Charity, which supports children who have additional complex needs including autism, cerebral palsy and many physical and developmental conditions.
This superb donation will go towards the on-going running of the charity and the services it provides which include equipment, resources and support together with a Music Therapy programme and specialist developmental toy library.
The picture shows the enthusiastic villagers, organisers and Lexie Adamson 13 years, who has in the past used the facilities of Honeylands Specialist Child Assessment Centre presenting the cheque to the Chair of the charity, Les Christiansen.
A big thank you goes to the organisers, villagers, attendees, music groups and musicians who visited and played at the event and made it such a huge success for the village and Honeylands CC.
THANK YOU.

LIONS CLUB DONATIONS
The Lions Clubs of Exeter, Crediton and Okehampton recently came together to make a substantial donation of £2500.00 towards the music therapy programme run by Honeylands Children's Charity for the children who attend Honeylands Specialist Child Assessment Centre in Exeter. Each of the Lions Clubs who donated did so from their individual fundraising efforts. This was a fantastic gesture by these clubs and the money will go towards continuing this very special and needed music therapy programme.Music Therapy aids a child's communication and attention skills and dependant on a child's needs both group and one to one sessions are provided.
The photograph below shows the cheque presentation being made by the Lions Club area Chair to the Chair of Honeylands Children's Charity. The other photographs show representatives from the various Clubs who donated. A big thank you to you all.

READY TEDDY JUMP EVENT - POSTPONEMENT

Guardians, Supporters and Organisers.
POSTPONEMENT OF THE READY TEDDY JUMP EVENT
Saturday 2nd May 2015 11.00 am – 3.00pm
CATHEDRAL GREEN
EXETER
Due to the likelihood that the weather on Saturday 2nd
May 2015 during the course of this event will be heavy rain and very blustery conditions,
reluctantly the www.READYTEDDYJUMP.COM
event has been cancelled for this day.
The weather forecast has been monitored over the past
few days and constant updates have been taken direct from The Met Office. They forecast rain throughout the
event and winds of around 34 mph.
The Committee have therefore reluctantly taken the
decision that it would not be safe for the brave Teddies to jump and for
spectators
to watch even though the organising Committee have
arranged for Teddy Medics to be on available and on standby.
The Committee and Honeylands Childrens Charity want
this event to be a huge success so:
THIS EVENT WILL BE RE-ARRANGED ON A DATE WHICH HAS YET
TO BE CONFIRMED
The new date will be announced via the above website,
posters and social media so please keep looking.
All teddy owners should make sure their brave teddy’s
remain fit, healthy and in training.
This was a very difficult decision for the committee
to make but was done in the best interests of all concerned.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
